This trail begins in Barkers Ridge, and runs south to the Mayde Creek school complexes, and further south to Cullen Park.
This trail intersects its northern counterpart near Barkers Ridge, just north of Cullen Park, then extends westward, crossing Greenhouse Road and running along the banks of Mayde Creek South.
Cullen Park Hike and Bike Trail is a 8 mile out and back trail, starting at Cullen Park just north of Barkers Ridge and extending eastward to State Highway 6, where it provides access to Bear Creek Park.
This trail is an east-west route along the banks of the Buffalo Bayou, providing 10 miles of trail from Barker Dam to the Sam Houston Tollway. Future plans call for extending the trail north, under I-10, to the Addicks Dam, then west to Addicks Park and Ride.
This trail system is south of I-10 from Barkers Ridge, and connects to the Rick Rice Park just west of Mason Road. This trail system will be extended to connect directly with the George Bush trail system to the East.
The George Bush Park Hike and Bike Trail is also south of I-10 from Barkers Ridge, starting at the west end of the Terry Hershey Park Hike and Bike Trail. The trail runs west to Fry Road, where it picks up the Mason Creek Trail.
